My son, in whom I am well pleased, is off to college today. We are sitting here getting ready to leave to go move him into the dorm. Exciting times! I'm kinda happy and sad at the same time.
The really great thing is that he is going to Samford University. For those unfamiliar with it, Samford is a very beautiful campus. It is gated. There is only campus related buildings in the area. It is small but not too small. (about 3000-3500 students, I think) It will really be like he is AWAY at college, while at the same time, we are about 25 minutes away! Therefore, he will be away without actually being away. Kinda the best of both worlds.
I assume I will still see him every Lord's Day. Of course, I hope to see him more than that, but hopefully, at least that.
